HISTORY OF YOUR CHAMBER OF COMMERCE

The Willowbrook/Burr Ridge Chamber of Commerce and Industry was originally formed as the “Business Peoples Association” in 1980 to work in harmony with government and community leaders. The organization was chartered a year later as the Chamber of Commerce of Willowbrook.

In 1985, the Willowbrook/Burr Ridge Chamber of Commerce was founded when these neighboring villages joined forces to meet common goals.

By working together, sharing resources and talent, the Willowbrook/Burr Ridge Chamber of Commerce and Industry creates a stimulating environment for the economic growth and well being of our communities and businesses.

Our efforts strengthen the communities economic base and promote its assets, assuring that Willowbrook and Burr Ridge remain a healthy area in which to live and do business.

JOINING THE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE & INDUSTRY

Membership in the Willowbrook / Burr Ridge, Chamber of Commerce and Industry provides a unique opportunity for people with common interests to interact, exchange ideas and discuss areas of interest and concern.

The Chamber unites the business community, channels their resources, and acts as your business advocate. As a member, you can play an important role in shaping the business agenda and directing a course of action.

Our chamber is committed to using all available resources to provide our member businesses the best possible representation, service and business growth opportunities. Area businesses also use the chamber as a focal point for community involvement.

The chamber is a voluntary not-for-profit organization financed solely by membership dues and fund raising activities. Your membership fee is a legitimate business expense and is tax deductible.

MISSION STATEMENT

The Willowbrook/Burr Ridge Chamber of Commerce and Industry strives to enhance the business environment and increase the economic growth of its members. It provides community leadership, facilitates communication, promotes education, supports local causes, and continually represents the interest and advancement of its members.
